The stone tools study is known as ‘lithic analysis’. The stone tools used in prehistoric period are the base of the today’s advanced tools.
By observing we can find that all technically advanced tools are based on the prehistoric tools. These tools were used for hunting, cutting, grinding etc. The stone tools were very easy to produce.
Also these tools were very easy to transport and sharpen. In prehistoric period the stone chisels were used for carving. Today it is impossible to find a carpenter without a carving chisels. There are different chisels are available for different carving materials. Some chisels are used with lathe machine.
